Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains cancellation, refund, renewal, free trial, and billing terms for Prepdha subscriptions.

Effective date: 1 July 2026 Last updated: 1 July 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to subscriptions and purchases made on the Prepdha platform, websites, and apps, operated by Civilsphere Educational Services Private Limited (“Prepdha”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Prepdha is a digital subscription service. There is no physical product and no shipping — access is provided online as soon as a subscription is active.

At a glance

  • You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Direct parent subscriptions come with a 7-day money-back guarantee on a new subscription or renewal.
  • If a plan renews automatically, you’ll get a reminder at least 24 hours before each renewal charge, and you can cancel before then.
  • Billing errors are always put right.
  • School subscriptions and pilots follow the school’s order form or agreement.

1. Some terms we use

  • Subscription — a paid plan that gives access to Prepdha for a defined billing cycle (for example, monthly or annual).
  • Billing cycle — the period a payment covers.
  • Renewal — a charge for the next billing cycle, which may be automatic if you chose an auto-renewing plan.
  • Free trial — a period during which you can use Prepdha (or part of it) without charge, where offered.

2. Which plans this Policy covers

  • Parent / direct subscriptions purchased through our website or app, including any paid plan that follows a free trial.
  • School subscriptions and pilots are governed primarily by the specific terms in the school’s order form or agreement. Where those terms differ from this Policy, the order form or agreement prevails.

3. Pricing, currency, and taxes

  • Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) at the time of purchase, and the price and billing cycle that apply to you are those displayed at checkout.
  • Applicable taxes (such as GST) are charged as shown at checkout. Where a refund is due, any applicable tax is refunded in accordance with law.
  • We may offer discounts (for example, a sibling discount); the terms of any offer are those stated when you take it up.

4. Free trials

  • Where we offer a free trial, you are not charged during the trial period.
  • Before you start, we aim to make the trial terms clear — its duration, whether a payment method is required, and what happens when it ends (for example, whether it converts to a paid plan).
  • If a trial converts to a paid plan, the applicable fee becomes payable as described at sign-up.
  • You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged, using the controls in your account or by contacting us.

5. Auto-renewal and recurring payments

Some plans are offered on an auto-renewing basis so that your child’s access continues without interruption. Where you choose such a plan:

  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price, until you cancel.
  • In line with the Reserve Bank of India’s e-mandate rules for recurring payments, you will receive a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before each automatic renewal charge, with the amount and date, so you are never charged by surprise.
  • You can cancel auto-renewal at any time before the next renewal date through your account settings, and you can also manage or cancel the standing instruction (e-mandate) through your bank or card issuer.
  • For most subscription amounts, recurring charges are processed without a one-time password each cycle, within the limits set by the RBI; the first payment when you set up the mandate will require authentication.

If you do not want an auto-renewing plan, you can choose a non-renewing option where available, or simply cancel before renewal.

6. Cancellation

  • You may cancel a subscription at any time through your account settings, or by contacting communications@prepdha.com.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless stated otherwise, you retain access until the end of the current paid billing period, after which the subscription will not renew.
  • Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the current period — refunds are governed by Section 7.

7. Refunds

  • 7-day money-back on direct parent subscriptions. If you purchased a subscription directly (not through a school) and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the start of a new subscription or renewal. After this 7-day window, fees for the current billing period are non-refundable, except as set out below or as required by law.
  • Billing errors / duplicate charges. If you were charged incorrectly or more than once, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and refund any verified incorrect charge.
  • Failed or interrupted service. If you experienced a significant, unresolved problem on our side that prevented you from using the Platform, contact us and we will review your case in good faith.
  • Discretionary refunds or credits. We may offer a refund or account credit at our discretion on a case-by-case basis, even where one is not strictly required.
  • What is generally not refundable. Outside the 7-day window and the situations above, partly-used billing periods and amounts already consumed are generally not refundable.
  • School subscriptions and pilots are governed by the terms of the relevant order form or agreement.

8. How refunds are processed

  • Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through our payment processor; we are not able to refund to a different account.
  • Refunds typically take 5–7 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Where only part of a subscription is refunded, we will tell you how the amount was calculated.

9. Failed payments and payment disputes

  • If an automatic payment fails, we may retry it or pause access until payment is completed, and we will let you know.
  • If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at communications@prepdha.com so we can resolve it quickly — this is usually faster than raising a dispute with your bank, and helps us put genuine errors right without delay.

10. Changes to plans and pricing

We may change plans, features, or pricing for future billing periods. Changes will not affect a period you have already paid for. Where a change is material and affects an auto-renewing plan, we will give you notice before the change takes effect, so you can decide whether to continue.

11. Questions, complaints, and grievances

If you have a question or complaint about a cancellation, refund, or charge, contact us using the details below. We aim to acknowledge within about 2 business days (48 hours) and to resolve within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can escalate as described in our Grievance Redressal Policy.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
